Installation of Technology Infrastructure for 790 Airports
Where
World Wide
Description
Beginning in October 2004 and working through-out 2005, Cable Tech Inc. installed the infrastructure set ups necessary to allow the swap out of message switches, associated structured cabling installations and data facilities certification testing for the change over of Data carriers from MCI to Sprint/Nextel by the FAA and their IT Contractor Firm, Harris Technology Group.
Working closely with the FAA/Harris and the Airport Authority Staff members, Cable Tech inc. was able to build out the necessary telecommunications infrastructure to facilitate the migration without a single data outage nor any significant Switch downtime.
Cable Tech’s National Dispatch center handled all the local construction permits, SIDA badging requirements and parts logistics so that this project finished on time and in budget. As well, during the hectic start up period for this project the dispatch center performed 400+ telephone surveys to backfill Harris/FAA/Sprint staff shortfalls and ensure timely information to allow crews to be dispatched. |
The bottom line:
Another Nationally Scoped project where Cable Tech’s ISO processes, technical expertise and superior Quality of Service metrics combined to complete the project on-time, in-budget and with high quality of work survey results from the Project Team.
